All about Woman Post

If you have a teen or teens in high school who are thinking about going to college you really need to have some discussions with them about the following subjects. At least one of these topics will be somewhat uncomfortable for you but you owe it to yourself and your teen to talk to them about it. These are real issues and they won’t go away by not talking about them, and in fact they could be far worse.

Fighting With Teenage Daughters

Mar-5-2008 By admin

An argument with a teenage girl can leave a parent exhausted and considering the benefits of boarding school. Girls by nature tend to be dramatic and complicated. They often lose their ability to adequately communicate when they are angry and can become irrational. These traits, while not indicative of every teenage girl in the world, are fairly common among most teenage girls. If your daughter can argue reasonably and without turning into someone you simply can’t recognize, then consider yourself extraordinarily blessed. If your daughter reverts into an alternate personality and can’t seem to string together basic logical reasoning, you can consider yourself just an average family.

So you find out your teenager is sexually active. What do you do?

Although I taught abstinence and the “sex is for adults” to them from when they were old enough to understand, both of my children became sexually active before they were 18.

My son didn’t tell me; I found out through his sister whose friend he was dating. She told my daughter, my daughter told me. I told my son never to go out without a raincoat. End of story. He already knew this from health class in high school.

Peer Pressure

Peer pressure is something many teens struggle with as they head back to school. It might influence something simple such as what style of shoes that they choose to wear, but it can be more serious as well. Peer pressure has an influence on the lives of teens in many areas, from sexual practices to drinking. Choosing to not give in and rather to abstain from these activities is often difficult for them.

If you love working online and aren’t a big fan of “traditional” teen jobs like babysitting and lawn mowing, perhaps starting an online home-based business is the right path for you. There is money to be made online by doing things like writing or selling items at online auction sites like eBay, but never forget that a home-based business is, first and foremost, a business. You’ll have to think like an entrepreneur and work hard to get ahead.
